Liberty's Logan Crawford

Liberty's Logan Crawford

Logan Crawford is one of 16 true freshmen on head coach Jesse Castro's 2009-10 roster, who will be trying to help the Flames capture their fourth-straight NCAA East Regional title come March.

However, Crawford is not a total stranger to Liberty, as the freshman has family ties with the wrestling program. Crawford's older brother, Peter, has been rounding the mats for the Flames the last two seasons and adding depth to the roster at 149 pounds.

Logan Crawford is slated to be wrestling up one to two weight classes from his older brother, as the Chesapeake, Va., native is listed at 157 or 165 pounds on the Flames earlier season roster.

Crawford comes to Liberty Mountain after a four-year letterwinning career at Indian River High School, where he posted a 79.6 winning percentage (180-46). He won 40 or more matches his final three years with the Braves, spotlighted by his senior season where he placed fourth in the state tournament and posted a 52-5 record at 145 pounds.
