The junior defeated Alexis McCoy of Morgan State, 6-1, 6-1, to open the qualifying bracket. Later, Solomon-Burgess topped St. Joseph's Jen Kedierski, 6-3, 6-0, to advance into the main regional draw.

In the main regional bracket, she joined teammate Jenkin. Solomon-Burgess fell in her opening contest in the main draw to Ragini Acharya of William & Mary, ranked 107th in the country, 6-1, 6-1. Meanwhile, Jenkins dropped a 6-3, 6-2 decision to Shannon Betts of Virginia Tech.

With the regional tournament, Liberty concludes its fall tournament schedule. The Lady Flames will open their spring schedule, Jan. 29, at the Greenbriar Resort in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., against either James Madison or West Virginia.
