Today's "Open Net" segement highlights freshman Kate DeShetler.

Today's "Open Net" segment features Kate DeShetler, a freshman forward from The Woodlands, Texas.

DeShetler, a graduate of The Woodlands High School, has appeared in two contests for the Lady Flames this season. Her high school team finished second in the state and ranked third in the nation, and DeShetler scored six goals and recorded eight assists as a junior.

DeShetler intends to major in nursing at Liberty.
