Flames Move Up in South Atlantic Region Poll

The Liberty men's soccer team advanced two spots this week to No. 8 in the latest South Atlantic Region poll, released yesterday.

After spending two weeks in the No. 10 spot, the Flames, 5-2-2, moved to the No. 8 position. Virginia holds the top spot in the poll this week.

Despite a furious rally late in last night's match, Liberty fell 1-0 to the nation's No. 2 ranked team, the North Carolina Tar Heels, in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Liberty completes its three-game road swing Tuesday, when it travels to Charlottesville, Va., for a match with Virginia. Match time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
