Jay Calvo concluded his collegiate career at the Cavalier Classic over the weekend.

Due to a stoppage of play with lightning in the Charlottesville area, the final round of the 22nd Annual Cavalier Classic was unable to be completed. When play was scheduled to resume at 5:15 p.m. it was deemed too late to complete the final round as the last group needed to finish 12 holes.

Because the final round was not completed, results from Saturday became final, giving South Carolina (286) a seven-stroke win over host Virginia (292), at the par-72, 6,875-yard Birdwood Golf Course, located in Charlottesville, Va. Liberty (305) finished in 14th place out of 18 teams after play concluded on Saturday.

Robert Karlsson (74) tied for 28th at two over par. Preston Dembowiak (76) tied for 46th along with teammate Jay Calvo (76) at four over par. Jordan Frye (79) and Jacob Singleton (83) round out the remaining Flame five. Chris Watters (71), as an individual, took ninth place after shooting one under par.

Josh Brock (67) from UNC Wilmington finished leading all individuals at five under par to win medalist honors. N.C. State's Adam Hogue(68) finished one stroke behind in second place as an individual and Kyle Stough (69) rounds out the top three at three under par, two strokes back.

Francis Marion (294) took third place, eight strokes behind the leader, while James Madison (295) rounds out the top four squads, nine strokes back.

The Cavalier Classic concludes the team season for the Flames.
