The golf season continues for Liberty on Monday at the 2nd Annual UMB Bank-Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate Classic, hosted by Missouri, at The Club at Old Hawthorne, located in Columbia, Mo.

Columbia's only championship course features a layout of 6,204-yard, par-72 configuration and the greens feature T1 bent grass.

The two-day/54-hole event will commence with practice rounds on Sunday. Monday will feature 36 holes of continuous play with a shotgun start of 8 a.m. local time. Tuesday's final round will also feature a shotgun format at 8 a.m. local time.

Liberty is one of 14 teams participating in the event and is the only squad hailing from a state that borders an ocean. The other participating teams are Eastern Illinois, Iowa State, IUPUI, Kansas State, Missouri, Missouri State, New Orleans, Northern Iowa, SMU, Texas-Arlington, Texas-San Antonio, Wyoming and Xavier. With 14 teams entered, along with five individual slots, a 75-man field is set to tee off.

The UMB Intercollegiate marks the second tournament all-time hosted by Missouri's men's golf team at The Club at Old Hawthorne, a club that is the new home of Missouri golf after opening in the spring of 2007. Indiana won the inaugural UMB Intercollegiate last season with a three-round total of 881.

Liberty freshman Robert Karlsson enters tournament play ranked as the No. 40 golfer in the country by Golfweek. In addition to Karlsson, Liberty's five-man crew will feature senior Jay Calvo (Baird, Texas), sophomore Preston Dembowiak (Summerfield, N.C.), redshirt-junior Nathan Schenz-Davis (San Diego, Calif.) and sophomore Jacob Singleton (Brookneal, Va.).
