Senkina and Hanusz Participate In ITA Regionals

Freshman Dina Senkina and sophomore Martyna Hanusz participated in the ITA Women's Southeast Regionals this past weekend hosted by the University North Carolina.

Senkina (Moscow, Russia) won the first set of her first round match in singles against Paula Takahski of Winthrop University, only to drop the next two sets and the tightly-contested match, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2.

Hanusz (Stalowa Wola, Poland) dropped straight sets to ninth-seed Austin Smith of North Carolina, 6-1, 6-1.

In doubles, the pair dropped a first round decision to UNC Wilmington's Lindsey Hess and Lauren Isenhour, 8-2.

The ITA Women's Regionals close out the Fall Tournament season for the Lady Flames. They begin Spring match play on February 4 by hosting UNC Greensboro.
