Today, LibertyFlames.com continues a new feature for the 2008-09 women's basketball season, "Life with the Lady Flames." From now until the end of the season, Liberty's six seniors will provide a unique look inside the women's basketball program, by way of journal entries. The series continues with Megan Frazee.

Hello all again from Megan Frazee!

I am about to begin my final semester at Liberty. Time really has gone by quickly. This semester will probably be one of my lighter semesters since being here at LU. Thankfully, I only need to take 12 credits to finish up, so that will be nice. This is our last week off, before spring semester classes back up. Having a break from school has been amazing! It has been a great time to be able to relax and catch up on some much-needed rest.

We started conference play on Saturday against Gardner-Webb. The Bulldogs came out very aggressively, but we were able to withstand their intensity and effort to come out victorious. It is great to be able to start out the conference with a WIN (so far we are undefeated this year)! Recently, our team has really been jelling well together. We have won five out of our last six games, so we are steadily approaching the .500 mark (6-7) for the season.

I am excited to be playing again. Last time I wrote my blog, I was cheering on my team from the sideline. I thank the Lord that He has allowed me to get back out on the court. I definitely have seen the Lord's hand in my life throughout the injury. I ran across this quote the other day from John Piper, "God is most glorified in you when you are most satisfied in him in the midst of loss, not prosperity." The beginning of this season was a struggle for our team, as we encountered countless injuries. Through it all though, I feel like the Lord was glorified and was seen. It's amazing the outlook the Lord has given to our team. The Lord has sustained us and made us stronger!

We had an off day on Sunday, which was nice. The rest of our break will consist of lifting and practicing. This week, we will continue to focus on areas that we need to improve on individually, and as a team, as we continue into conference play. We will head down to South Carolina to play Winthrop on Saturday. Check back for details on the outcome.

God bless you in this new year!
