Liberty is ranked No. 13 in the latest CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll, released Monday evening. The ranking marks the first time the Flames have appeared in the Top 25, after receiving votes last week (49) and for three straight weeks early in the 2006-07 season.

VMI is listed at No. 21, marking the first time in league history the Big South Conference has had two teams recognized on the list.

The Flames jump into the top half of the list on the heels of a five-game winning streak, with triumphs over stellar programs such as Virginia, William & Mary and George Mason. Liberty's winning streak was snapped on Sunday at Clemson, after the Tigers went on a 24-9 run closing out a come-from-behind victory. The Patriots of George Mason appear on the list at No. 14.

The Flames are off until next Monday, when they host the Anderson Trojans, inside the Vines Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
