Former Liberty men's soccer standout Osei Telesford is among those representing Trinidad & Tobago in the upcoming rounds of the Digicel Carribbean Cup.

Trinidad &Tobago looks to add to its prestigious history in the Digicel Cup. Trinidad & Tobago has taken the title eight times and has never finished worse than third. Telesford, a native of San Jose, Trinidad, has represented his country in the Digicel Cup the past two seasons. He has also represented his country in several World Cup qualifying contests. Trinidad & Tobago is the only team in the championships to still be alive in World Cup qualifying for 2010.

The Cup, which began last week, will feature round-robin group play, with the top two teams from each of the groups moving to the semifinals. The semifinals will be single-elimination and take place on Dec. 11 at National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. The finals will be held on Dec. 14. The four semi-finalists will qualify for the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The Gold Cup is scheduled to take place in July 2009.

Telesford was a four-time All-Big South Conference team member during his time with the Flames. The defender/midfielder was also named twice to the NSCAA South Atlantic Region team, in 2005 and 2006.
