Liberty junior guard Amber Mays was included on the all-tournament team for this weekend's GW Thanksgiving Classic, it was announced this evening.

Mays (Pasadena, Calif.) was the Lady Flames' lone representative on the six-member team. George Washington's Jessica Adair highlighted the honorees, taking home tournament MVP honors. She sank the two game-winning free throws in the Colonials' 67-65 title game win over Hartford on Saturday.
Mays ranked second on the team with 11.0 ppg and tied for second on the squad with 2.5 apg in the Lady Flames' two tournament tilts. She shot 64.3 percent (9-of-14) from the field and 80.0 percent (4-of-5) from the foul line during Liberty's close losses to Hartford and South Alabama.

Mays' best game of the weekend came during Saturday's consolation contest versus South Alabama. She notched a career-high 14 points, while making all but one of her seven field goal attempts against the Jaguars.

Mays and the 1-4 Lady Flames will return to action Tuesday, when they face Commonwealth foe James Madison (2-2). Tip-off at the JMU Convocation Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.
