Flames Cruise Past Howard

The Liberty Flames won all but two of the matches contested on the afternoon to capture a 6-1 victory over the Howard Bison, Saturday afternoon at the Heritage High School Tennis Courts.

Liberty took two of the three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches played for their second team match victory of the season.

Sebastian Pena (So., Santiago, Chile) won for the fifth time in his last six contests with a victory in #4 singles. With the win, the sophomore is 8-4 in singles play in his first season at Liberty.

The non-conference win moves the Flames record to 2-11 on the season.

Liberty will travel to Farmville, Va. on Monday to face Longwood. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
