Flames Down Aggies For First Win

The Liberty Flames won eight of the nine matches contested on the afternoon, sweeping to a 7-0 victory over the North Carolina A&T Aggies, Friday at the Aggies Tennis Complex to win first match of the season.

The Flames took two of the three doubles matches to claim the doubles point, before winning all six singles matches, four of which were either settled in three sets or by tiebreakers.

With the non-conference win, Liberty moves to 1-7, while N.C. A&T falls to 6-11.

The Flames return home tomorrow to host UNC Asheville in a Big South Conference match. The match will be played at the E.C. Glass High School tennis courts beginning at 1 p.m.
