Rebekah Ricksecker is this season's only three-time Big South Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

For the third time this season, Liberty senior Rebekah Ricksecker has earned the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award.

Last Saturday, Ricksecker (Laurel, Del.) finished 69th in the women's 6K white race at Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind. Her time of 21:34 cut nine seconds off her previous personal best and was the fastest 6K time posted by a Big South runner this season. Moreover, Ricksecker is now the No. 2 all-time women's cross country performer in program history at the 6K distance, trailing only her former teammate Piper Newby.
Ricksecker, one of the top contenders for the individual championship at the upcoming New Balance Big South Cross Country Championships, previously won the Big South Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week award on Sept. 10 and Oct. 8. Her first award was a joint honor with teammate and classmate Ashley Osborne (Bristol, Va.). Ricksecker is the only conference women's runner to capture multiple weekly awards this season.

Liberty will host the New Balance Big South Cross Country Championships presented by UCS for the first time in school history, Nov. 1 at the Campus East intramural fields. The women's 5K championship is set to begin at 11:30 a.m., and the Lady Flames will attempt to win their third consecutive Big South title.
