Rebekah Ricksecker has earned two Big South Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week awards this season.

Liberty senior Rebekah Ricksecker has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this season, after her performance at last Friday's Brooks Paul Short Run.

Ricksecker (Laurel, Del.), who shared the conference weekly award with teammate and classmate Ashley Osborne (Bristol, Va.) on Sept. 10, was the top conference finisher at the Brooks Paul Short Run. She clocked a 6K season-best time of 21:50 to place 69th in the field of 301 finishers. The Coastal Carolina and VMI women's squads also competed in the race at Bethlehem, Pa., but the next fastest Big South runner was Osborne, who finished 13 seconds behind Ricksecker.

Ricksecker's effort helped the Lady Flames place 20th out of 43 teams in the women's Brown race. Liberty came in just one spot behind conference rival Coastal Carolina in the final team standings.

The Lady Flames will take this weekend off from competition. They will return to action on Oct. 18, when they participate in the Pre-Nationals at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course in Terre Haute, Ind.
