Former Liberty men's soccer players Osei Telesford and Darryl Roberts will play for the Trinidad and Tobago National team in tonight's World Cup qualifier against Cuba.

The contest, which will be played in Havana, Cuba, will begin Round Three of qualifying for the CONCACAF Final Round. Trinidad and Tobago will meet the United States, Guatemala and Cuba in three round-robin matches during the months of August through November.

The top two programs from each CONCACAF round-robin group will advance to the six-team CONCACAF Final Round scheduled to begin in February 2009. The top three teams from the CONCACAF Final Round will automatically qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The two Liberty alums combined for a goal in Trinidad and Tobago's match on March 26, a 2-2 draw with Jamaica. The goal helped rally the Trinidad and Tobago team from a two-goal deficit in the match, before 20,000 fans at National Stadium in Jamaica.

In their last match against Bermuda on June 22, Roberts netted the game-winning goal 10 minutes into the contest and Telesford played significant minutes on defense in a 2-0 victory.

Telesford was a four-time All-Big South Conference team member during his time with the Flames. Roberts earned Freshman All-America honors in 2003 and finished his career as Liberty's all-time scoring leader with 94 points on 36 goals and 22 assists during his time in a Flames uniform.
