Football Media Day Set for Sunday
The Flames will have their second day off since opening training camp on July 31 this Sunday. However, the players and coaches will still be seen around the Williams Football Operations Center during the afternoon, when Liberty hosts its annual Football Media Day press event.
The Flames will welcome local and regional members of the media to Williams Stadium, Sunday afternoon, conducting one-on-one interviews around several different photo sessions.
During the gathering with the media, the Flames will take the 2008 team photo, followed by several group and individual photos. The team photo is scheduled to be taken at 2:30 p.m., officially kicking off the event, while the afternoon festivities will wrap up around 4 p.m.
The Flames Football Media Day is open to the general public, free of charge. Fans are welcomed and encouraged to attend the event, giving them a chance to meet face-to-face with their favorite players before they take to the gridiron on Aug. 30 for their home opener against North Greenville.
For those unable to attend the Flames Football Media Day, LibertyFlames.com will be covering the event. The web site will be providing photos and some audio interviews with Liberty's players and coaches, as part of its continual Countdown to Kickoff coverage.
