Flames Set to Open Training Camp on Thursday

The defending Big South champion Liberty Flames football program will open its preseason training camp tomorrow afternoon, when over 90 players will take to the turf at Williams Stadium for their first practice of the season.

Two-time Big South Coach of the Year Danny Rocco will hold his first of 29 preseason training camp practices tomorrow afternoon at 2:15 p.m., lasting approximately three hours. Thursday and Friday, the players will practice without pads, while the team will work out in "shells" on Saturday and Sunday. Liberty's first full pads practice will be held Monday afternoon.

Players will be reporting to training camp throughout Thursday, with team physicals scheduled during the afternoon along with several team meets with various Athletics Department support groups.

Rocco will close out the day by addressing the team in the Williams Football Operations Center main team meeting room later this evening, giving the squad his expectations for this season of "Unfinished Business."

Tomorrow's afternoon practice, along with the remaining 28 practices leading up to the North Greenville game, is free and open to the public. All training camp practices will be held at Williams Stadium or on the natural grass turf adjacent the Williams Football Operations Center.
