Hoskins, McDougal Dominate Day Two of Liberty Kickoff

Liberty collected five first place finishes as they completed the final day of the Liberty Kickoff this evening at the Tolsma Track Center.

After finishing the first day leading the heptathlon, the Flames' Brandon Hoskins placed first with a NCAA provisional mark of 5375 points.

Also leading the way for Liberty was sophomore sensation Josh McDougal as he dominated a talented field in the 5k run with a time of 13:52.87 (two seconds off of the NCAA automatic qualifying time).

Leading the way for the Lady Flames was Carol Jefferson as she set a school record in the 5k with a time of 17:14.65.

Liberty will return to the track on Friday as they stay home and host the Liberty Collegiate Invitational at 4:30 p.m. at the Tolsma Track Center.
