Hoskins Highlights Day One of Liberty Kickoff

Liberty's Brandon Hoskins highlighted the start of the Flames' first indoor track and field meet of the 2005-06 season, the Liberty Kickoff, this afternoon at the Tolsma Track Center.

Hoskins, whose 3029 points, is currently on pace to qualify for nationals (provisional) and IC4A's in the heptathlon, while Dan Newell is also on pace to qualify for IC4A's.

Following Newell at the conclusion of day one is Joel Beck (2597), Clarence Murray (2455) and Mathew Parker (2359).

Day two will begin tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. with the men's weight throw, while the last event, the men's 4x400 meter relay, is scheduled for 5 p.m.
