Former Liberty soccer standouts Osei Telesford and Darryl Roberts led Trinidad and Tobago to a 2-2 tie with Jamaica.

Former Liberty men's soccer players Osei Telesford and Darryl Roberts combined for a goal in Trinidad and Tobago's 2-2 draw with Jamaica on March 26.

The goal helped rally the Trinidad and Tobago team from a two-goal deficit in the match, before 20,000 fans at National Stadium in Jamaica. The squad is currently on an eight-match unbeaten streak in international "friendlies".

Trailing 2-0 midway through the second half, Telesford, who played for Liberty from 2003-06, received a pass from Roberts, who played at Liberty from 2002-2006, and fired home the first Trinidad goal of the contest. The two former Flames then helped their team hold Jamaica off the scoreboard and find the equalizer in the match.

Telesford was a four-time All-Big South Conference team member during his time with the Flames. Roberts earned Freshman All-American honors in 2003 and finished his career as Liberty's all-time scoring leader with 94 points on 36 goals and 22 assists during his time in a Flames uniform.

Currently, Roberts is playing soccer for Sparta Rotterdam of the Dutch League, while Telesford is playing for the Puerto Rico Islanders of the United Soccer League's Division I.
