Catcher Errol Hollinger had three hits in Liberty's game two win Saturday.

Liberty starter David Stokes held Longwood in check through seven innings and catcher Errol Hollinger collected three hits, as the Flames completed a sweep of the Lancers with 12-4 win in game two of a doubleheader, Saturday at Lancer Stadium.

With its season-high sixth consecutive win, Liberty moves to 28-23 on the season. Longwood drops to 22-25. Earlier in the day, Liberty had won game one, 5-3.

Liberty batted around in the first inning to race out to a 5-0 advantage. Tommy Bussey (Jr., 2B, Boynton Beach, Fla.) walked to lead off the contest and advanced to third on a double to the right-centerfield gap by Errol Hollinger (Jr., C, Upland, Calif.). P.K. Keller (Sr., RF, Clearwater, Fla.) then plated both runners with a double into the right-center field gap. After a groundout moved Keller to third, Cody Brown (Jr., 3B, Boca Raton, Fla.) chased the runner home with a single to right field.

The frame continued as Garret Young (Sr., DH, Fountain Valley, Calif.) singled and Aaron Grijalva (Sr., LF, Redlands, Calif.) walked to load the bases. Joseph Feeley (Fr., CF, Chesapeake City, Md.) followed with a RBI single to bring home the fourth run of the inning. Aaron Phillips (Sr., SS, Claremore, Okla.) then grounded into a fielder's choice, plating another tally for a 5-0 edge.

The Flames added to their lead in the third frame with an unearned run. Grijalva was hit by a pitch to open the inning and moved to second base on an infield single by Feeley. On the single, Grijalva advanced to third when shortstop Scott Kimble overthrew the first baseman in an attempt to get the hitter, Feeley. Grijlava then scored by beating a throw to home on a grounder to the pitcher by Phillips, pushing the advantage to 6-0.

Liberty plated single runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to stretch its lead to 8-0. In the fourth, Keller singled and later scored on a double by Young. In the fifth, Hollinger brought home a run with his second double of the game.

Longwood broke through for a run in the sixth off Stokes. Center fielder Rob Bailey reached on an infield single and scored on a two-out double by second baseman Phil Cerreto.
Liberty upped its lead to 10-1 in the eighth inning. Pinch hitter Jeff Jefferson (Fr., Danville, Va.) walked to begin the inning and scored ahead of a home run by Giammaresi, his sixth of the year.

The Lancers scored three runs in the bottom of the frame, two of which were unearned.
In the ninth, the Flames scored runs on a wild pitch and a single by Nate Thompson (So., C, Stoneville, N.C.) for the final margin of 12-4.

Liberty starter Stokes (Sr., RHP, Locust Grove, Okla.) allowed one run over seven innings of work to run his record to 7-4 on the season. The senior struck out six and did not walk a batter. Longwood starter Rob Moody falls to 1-3 on the year. He gave up five runs on five hits in one inning of work.

Hollinger paced the Flames and led all hitters with his trio of hits in the game. Keller, Giammaresi and Feeley each added two hits for Liberty. Cerreto and right fielder Nick von Gersdorff had two hits apiece for Longwood.

Liberty hosts Longwood tomorrow afternoon in a single game at Worthington Stadium. First pitch Sunday is set for 1 p.m.
