After earning the 13th and 14th All-America honors of his collegiate running career at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, Liberty senior Josh McDougal won the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Men's Track & Field Athlete of the Week honor today.

McDougal (Peru, N.Y.) opened his weekend in Fayetteville, Ark., by placing fifth in the 5,000-meter final in a time of 13:58.62, on March 14. He followed up the performance with a sixth-place effort at 3,000 meters the following evening, clocking an 8:03.77. It was the fourth-straight year McDougal has garnered All-America recognition at the 3,000-meter distance indoors.

McDougal has now won four Big South weekly awards this year. The senior previously received the distinction for indoor track on Dec. 6. He was also honored as the conference's men's cross country runner of the week on Oct. 3 and Oct. 17.

The Flames and Lady Flames will compete in their second meet of the outdoor track & field season this Friday and Saturday, at the Shamrock Invitational in Conway, S.C.
