The Liberty women's basketball team will find out its opponent in round one of the NCAA Tournament tonight!

The Liberty women's basketball team punched its ticket to the 2008 NCAA Tournament yesterday when Megan Frazee sank the Big South championship-winning basket with three-tenths of a second left, sending the Lady Flames to a 66-65 triumph over arch-rival Radford.

Liberty has now won 11 of the last 12 Big South Championships and is poised for the NCAA Tournament. The Flames Club will be sponsoring a NCAA Selection Show Celebration tonight inside the Williams Football Operations Center. The gathering will last from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m., with the actual selection show airing at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Admission is $5 for Flames Club members and family (spouse & children) or $15 for non-members, and is limited to the first 100 guests. Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased in advance by e-mailing FlamesClub@liberty.edu or calling 434-582-CLUB, or at the door if they are still available.
