Softball Postpones Game with Venezuelan Team

Following the postponement of tomorrow's exhibition game agianst the Venezuelan National Team, Courtney Johnson and the Lady Flames will return to action on Friday at the Hatter Clasic.

Following the postponement of tomorrow's exhibition game agianst the Venezuelan National Team, Courtney Johnson and the Lady Flames will return to action on Friday at the Hatter Clasic.

Due to the forecast for inclement weather, including strong winds and severe thunder and lightning in the greater Lynchburg area over the next 24 hours, Liberty's exhibition game against the Venezuelan National Softball Team has been postponed.

The Lady Flames were selected to face the Olympic squad tomorrow at the Liberty Softball Field for a single game at 2 p.m.

Liberty will now return to the field of action this weekend, as the Lady Flames begin their annual Spring Break swing, this year in Florida. The 13-day tour of the Sunshine State begins on Friday, when the Lady Flames (1-7-1) open play at the Hatter Classic.

Liberty will face host Stetson and future Big South opponent Presbyterian during the three-day event, starting with Friday's games. The Lady Flames will open the tournament in Deland, Fla., at Patricia Wilson Field against Presbyterian at 1:30 p.m. and Stetson at 4 p.m.
