Senior Jon Hart has won a pair of ECAC Men's Field Athlete of the Week distinctions this season.

For the third-consecutive week, Liberty track & field athletes have been honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). Freshman Jacey Bailey is the co-Men's Track Athlete of the Week and senior Jon Hart has been tabbed Men's Field Athlete of the Week.

Bailey (Tamarac, Fla.) had a hand in three victories at the Liberty Quad, contested Feb. 8 at the Tolsma Indoor Track Center. He crossed the line first in the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash and led off for the first-place 4 x 400 squad. Bailey's 60-meter clocking, 6.90, set a Liberty freshman record, while his 22.55 effort at 200 meters also established a personal best. He shared the award with Matt Tower of the U.S. Military Academy, a mid-distance specialist.

Hart (Wyomissing, Pa.) was recognized by the ECAC for the second time this season, after taking home the same award on Jan. 31. The senior was a double winner in his final home indoor meet, claiming the shot put and weight throw crowns at the Liberty Quad. Hart's shot put mark of 55-3.5 established a new personal best, and his weight throw distance of 62-2.5 was more than 11 feet ahead of the event's runner-up.

The Liberty men's and women's track & field teams will take this weekend off competition. Their next meet will be the Virginia Tech Challenge, scheduled for Feb. 22-23 in Blacksburg, Va.
