The Liberty men's tennis team has been predicted to finish sixth in the Big South Conference standings this spring in the league's annual preseason poll, released earlier this afternoon. The poll is voted on by the conference's head men's tennis coaches and sports information directors.

The Flames received 27 points in being picked sixth. Liberty returns several players from last year's team, including seniors Jarda Trojan and Sebastian Pena and sophomore Chad Simpson.

Defending Big South champion Radford was chosen first in the Big South Conference's annual preseason poll. The Highlanders received 12 out of 14 first-place votes and 96 out of a possible 98 points.

The Flames kick off their 2008 schedule by hosting Richmond indoors at Lynchburg's Sports Racket on Feb. 2 at 6 p.m. The season is scheduled to conclude at the Big South Conference Men's Tennis Championship, April 17-19 on the campus of Winthrop in Rock Hill, S.C.
