Liberty Head Golf Coach Jeff Thomas has signed Jordan Frye to a national letter of intent for the 2008-09 academic year.

"I am excited to have Jordan join our program," said Thomas. "He has the type of qualities we need in our athletes to reach our program goal of being a national competitor. Jordan is a solid Christian young man who immediately fell in love with Liberty, the golf program and Dr. Falwell's vision for the University. He is a big, strong and athletic golfer who has a bright future as a Flame."

Frye is a homeschooler, hailing from Colleyville, Texas. Frye will join Josh Bain and Jay Calvo, two current golfers from the Lone Star State.

Frye is currently ranked as the No. 18 golfer in the state of Texas by Golfweek for the class of 2008. Frye sits as the No. 173 ranked golfer by Golfweek in the entire class of 2008.

During the 2007 season, Frye won The Maxwell 2nd Annual Home School National Golf Championship. Frye also placed third in a trio of events, the AJGA Future Legends Tournament in Wales, Wisc., the Texas High School Preview and the Texas Junior Golf Tour Worldlink Open.
