Liberty releases 2007-08 men's basketball broadcast schedule.

Liberty releases 2007-08 men's basketball broadcast schedule.

The Liberty men's basketball program will have at least 16 of its games televised during the 2007-08 season, with the potential for more. Additionally, 23 of Liberty's 30 scheduled contests this season will be aired either on television, web streaming or both.

Liberty will televise 13 of its 14 scheduled home games via the Flames Television Network and the Liberty Channel. Of those 13 games, six will be simulcast on the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN). In a new partnership between Liberty Athletics and MASN, five conference home games and one non-conference home game will air on the station. Two additional road contests will also be broadcast on the network as well.

MASN is a regional sports network with over six million subscribers, which televises both Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles games in the Mid-Atlantic region (Harrisonburg, Pa. to Charlotte, N.C.). MASN is the official cable network of the Baltimore Ravens, Georgetown Hoyas basketball, George Mason Patriots basketball and televises 200 NCAA football, basketball and lacrosse games for a total of 520 live events annually.

Liberty will also be seen on TV when the Flames take on Kentucky, a game broadcast on Fox Sports South and the Big Blue Sports Network. Additional TV games will come in the Advance Auto Parts Big South Championship. Should Liberty host a first-round game, the contest will be televised on the Flames Sports Network. The semifinal round will be broadcast on ESPNU, while the conference championship game will be televised on ESPN2.

Seven more contests will be video streamed via The Big South EDGE, a subscription-based service provided by the Big South Conference, where fans can watch live video streaming. Twenty of Liberty's 30 games will be available on The Big South EDGE, including every home contest as well as every conference road game, excluding the Jan. 15 game at Winthrop, which is being broadcast on MASN.
