After averaging 6.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game for the USA Basketball Select Team, which finished second at last week's FIBA World League Tournament, 2005 Liberty graduate Katie Feenstra has officially been added to the 2007-08 USA National Team roster, it was announced by USA Basketball.

Feenstra, fellow USA Select Team member Janel McCarville and three-time Olympic gold medalist Lisa Leslie will each join the official USA National Team roster, which currently numbers 29 players. The 29 players are the primary candidates currently being considered for inclusion on the 12-member USA Olympic Team for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.

Feenstra will have the opportunity to don the red, white and blue USA uniform four more times in the coming week. The 6-8 center will play for the USA National Team for the first portion of its 2007 College Tour, beginning with a Wednesday evening match-up at Maryland. Feenstra will also compete for the USA against defending national champion Tennessee on Sunday, at Baylor on Nov. 6 and at Arizona State on Nov. 8.

USA National Team Head Coach Anne Donovan will direct the squad, which also includes Leslie, Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi, for the 2007 College Tour. The tour will feature seven stops in total, ending up with a contest at Stanford on Nov. 15.
