With Liberty's football training camp now under way, LibertyFlames.com continues its annual position preview segments today by looking at the Flames' tight ends and fullbacks.

The Flames are looking to replace graduated senior tight ends Kendall Couamin and Canon Smith, who split starting duties in 2016. Liberty's 2017 roster includes seven tight ends, all of which are either sophomores or freshmen.

The lone player in the group of seven with any prior playing experience is redshirt sophomore Zac Foutz. The Roanoke, Va., native saw playing time in 10 games last season and he made the most of his one reception, which went for a one-yard touchdown against Robert Morris.

Conversely, the Flames' fullbacks will be led by redshirt senior Thomas Kennedy, the most experienced offensive player on Liberty's roster. Kennedy, another native of Roanoke, has provided his blocking services in 34 career games in his three prior seasons at Liberty.

On the practice field today, the Flames held their third straight practice in full pads, their final practice of the week in full pads before Saturday's afternoon scrimmage. Tomorrow, LibertyFlames.com will continue its position previews by looking at the Flames' safeties.
