The Flames' Parker McKoy and Nathan Schenz-Davis both posted season-low rounds to propel Liberty to the opening day lead at the 26th annual ODU-Seascape Collegiate after 18 holes of competition on the par-71, 6256-yard Seascape Golf Course.

The Flames carded their fourth-best team round of the year with a one-under-par 283 and lead the field of 15 schools, featuring a mixture of key District II opponents and Big South foes, by three strokes over Radford (286), five strokes over Kennesaw State (288) and eight over host Old Dominion (291).

McKoy and Schenz-Davis both carded three-under-par rounds of 68 and share the overall individual lead with Radford's Hampton Ballard, who also posted a three-under-par thanks to a 31 on the back nine.

Also helping the Flames to the lead position heading into the final 18 holes of competition tomorrow morning was Andrew Turner, who is tied for 18th after a two-over-par 73, Jay Calvo, who is tied for 26th after a three-over-par 74 and Peter Hong, who is tied for 40th after a five-over-par 76.

The Flames will look to fend of the 14 other teams in the field and claim their second team championship of the fall season as they conclude the fall season-ending event tomorrow at the Seascape Golf Course.
