Liberty Baseball will open its season in two days, when it takes on No. 16 Virginia in the opening game of the 2017 Charleston Crab House Challenge in Charleston, S.C., on Friday at Noon. The contest will be the first for the Flames under new head coach Scott Jackson and his staff. LFSN's Nick Pierce, the voice of Liberty Baseball, had a chance to talk with Jackson about how preseason practice has gone and look forward to this weekend's games in Charleston.

The Flames will face Kansas on Saturday at 11 a.m. and meet host The Citadel on Sunday at 2 p.m. The games will air on 93.3 FM/1320 AM ESPN Lynchburg.
