Flames Midseason Review with Scott Wachenheim

During the football team's off week leading up to its Big South opener on Oct. 20 against Charleston Southern, LibertyFlames.com will be visiting with each of the program's coordinators and head coach Danny Rocco. Today, we begin the Flames Midseason Review by visiting with offensive coordinator Scott Wachenheim.

Wachenheim begins the interview session by giving a brief overview of how the offense has progressed so far this year. The second-year member of the Flames coaching staff also gives listeners his thoughts on who has excelled above preseason expectations and in what areas the Flames need to improve during the second half of the year.

Wachenheim also gives his insight into various subjects, such as the addition of Marshal Ausberry to the offensive line and the coaching staff's second-half expectations for Brock Smith. He also talks about Liberty's pair of dynamic duos in the one-two running back punch of Rashad Jennings and Zach Terrell and the wide receiver duet of Wynton Jackson and Brandon Turner.

Be sure to check back over the next three days to hear the rest of the Flames Midseason Reviews. On Friday, LibertyFlames.com will visit with defensive coordinator Tom Clark, followed by a one-on-one with special team's coordinator Chad Wilt on Saturday. The web site will wrap up the Flames Midseason Review by sitting down with Rocco on Sunday.
