Senior forward Kendall Bartholomew

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday throughout the women's soccer season, fans will have an opportunity to get to know the Lady Flames a bit better through a question-and-answer session. Today, the series continues with senior Kendall Bartholomew.

A native of Thaxton, Va., Kendall Bartholomew played in her 50th Liberty game last Friday at Virginia. The senior forward had her best season as a Lady Flame in 2006, with nine points on three goals and three assists. Off the field, the kinesiology major is a three-time member of the Big South Presidential Honor Roll.

My earliest soccer memory is … playing for the Montvale Magic and being that kid who waited for the ball to squirt out of the herd of kids and then took off down the field with it.

Other than soccer, my favorite sport to play is … Quidditch (game in Harry Potter) .... just kidding!   Volleyball, I guess, but quidditch would be fun. I would like to be a seeker.

When I have an hour of free time, I like to … prank my unsuspecting teammates.

If I won a million dollars, I would … build Liberty University a new soccer stadium.

If someone would look at the songs on my iPod, I would be embarrassed for them to see I have this song … Anything from Justin Timberlake, especially "Bringing Sexy Back."

It is not good for you, but I still eat … Mike and Ikes.

A place I would like to visit one day is … I want to hike Mount Everest.

If you could eat dinner with three other people (living or dead), who would they be and why?
Michelle Akers - because she is the best women's soccer player who ever lived. I would have a ton of questions for her.
Cristiano Ronaldo - because what girl wouldn't want to have dinner with him?
Jesus Christ – He would be at the top of my list because I would just like to see His face. However, I am not sure I would be able to eat my dinner if Jesus was sitting across the table from me.

Who is your favorite Bible character and why?
David. He stepped out with reckless abandon to the task God had for him.  In the eyes of the world, he was not prepared, but he knew it would be the Lord and not him who would defeat Goliath.

When surfing the Internet, what website do you visit the most frequently? Nike.com, Youtube.com and Playforone.com

What is something about you that other people don't know? I am terrified of spiders.

What is the best part about being on the Liberty Women's Soccer team?
My teammates, they are my sisters.  Knowing you have the blessing and responsibility to represent your team in everything you do.  Looking down the line and knowing that the girls on the line with you are working hard and pushing past that wall.  Being a part of a group which wants to use the game they love to glorify and worship the Savior they love more.

Who is your favorite Superhero and why?
Darkwing Duck, because of the way he swishes his cape around before he disappears behind a cloud of smoke.

What cartoon character are you most like and why?
Rafiki from Lion King, because I have wisdom beyond my years (just kidding!) and I can finger paint quite nicely.

After graduation, I would like to … work in some sort of sports ministry.  Honestly, wherever God takes me, maybe Christian soccer camps, coaching, physical therapy(grad school). I don't really know yet.
