Liberty sophomore setter Kallie Corbin has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Player of the Week, becoming the first Lady Flame to earn the honor this season.

Corbin (Beaverton, Ore.) earned all-tournament honors after helping Liberty go 3-1 and finish second at the five-team Villanova Classic over the weekend. She totaled team-high figures in assists (175) and attack percentage (.286) during the tournament and added 26 kills, 57 digs and 15 blocks.

The sophomore was at her best during Liberty's Saturday victories over William & Mary and Binghamton. She came within one assist of her career-high, tallying 56 assists versus William & Mary. Corbin then posted her first triple-double of the year in the Binghamton match, consisting of 10 kills, 25 digs and 44 assists. She had four triple-doubles a season ago, tying for fourth in the nation in the category.

Corbin and the Lady Flames return to action at home Tuesday night, with a non-conference match against James Madison. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start at the Vines Center.
