The Liberty University Volleyball program was recently given a secondary practice facility as part of a new volleyball training complex on campus. Supporters of the program will now have the opportunity to have a portion of the facility, or even the entire complex, named in their honor. Donations are also being sought in order to equip and furnish the facility.

The existing $750,000 facility on Campus East will house the volleyball coaches' offices and a team room, and will serve as the team's exclusive practice facility whenever the Vines Center is unavailable.

"We are excited about the direction of Liberty Volleyball," stated head volleyball coach Shane Pinder. "It is amazing to see God's hand moving in all areas of our program. The most recent miracle is the addition of new office spaces, which includes a team room with a practice gymnasium attached. This facility will allow us a better opportunity to recruit as well as more opportunities to train the team throughout the season. The new volleyball complex takes another step towards Dr. Falwell's dream and vision of building a world-class University and athletics program."

"The recent provision of our new volleyball training complex has been a tremendous boost to our team, and is yet another important step towards building a top-level program here at Liberty," remarked Bob Good, Director of Athletics Development & Flames Club. "It is now our hope and expectation that our alumni and friends will partner with us and help complete the interior of the facility by participating with a gift for our capital campaign."

Needs for the interior of the new complex are listed below, and supporters are asked to consider contributing towards one or more of the items.

For those able to provide larger gifts, some naming rights opportunities are also listed below. These amounts are payable over a five-year period.

All donations of $1,000 or more will result in the donor's name being included on a commemorative plaque, which will be permanently displayed in the new training complex.

"The new facility will not only strengthen our team on the court but off the court as young women serving the Lord," expressed junior middle blocker Ashley Webber. "This will provide our team with a very special place to strengthen our bodies for the court and our spirits for ‘the walk'."

All gifts are tax-deductible (see your tax advisor for details). Donations may be made by credit card or check payable to Flames Club with "Volleyball" and the gift purpose in the memo line. Checks should be mailed to Flames Club, 1971 University Blvd., Lynchburg, VA 24502.
