Antwan Burrus will play for BC Dinamo Bucharest in Romania during the 2014-15 season.

Antwan Burrus, one of six seniors on the 2013-14 Liberty men's basketball team, will have the opportunity to continue his basketball career in Romania this fall. He recently signed a contract with Romanian team BC Dinamo Bucharest.

Located in Bucharest, Romania, BC Dinamo Bucharest has captured 22 Romanian championships, which is the most of any team in league history. Burrus will depart for Bucharest at the end of August for the 2014-15 season, during which BC Dinamo Bucharest will be competing in Liga II.

Burrus, a 6-6, 235-pound forward from Winterville, North Carolina, spent five seasons with the Flames (2009-10 through 2013-14). He saved his best season for last, averaging a team-high 13.0 ppg and pulling down 5.3 rpg during the 2013-14 campaign. Burrus was tabbed the Big South Co-Player of the Week on Dec. 23 and earned all-tournament team honors at the 2013 Corpus Christi Challenge.

For his career, Burrus finished second all-time at Liberty in blocked shots (124), 10th in rebounds (616) and 18th in points (1,170). He is one of four Flames ever to score 1,000 points, grab 600 rebounds and block 100 shots, joining Peter Aluma, Julius Nwosu and Willard DeShazor in that exclusive club.
