This past weekend, alumni from the Liberty football program returned to Lynchburg to give back to the local community by hosting the inaugural Camp 180 clinic.

Rashad Jennings, a 2008 graduate who is a native of the Lynchburg area, along with football alum Mike Brown (2010) and used their off time between preseason NFL training camps to host the one-day clinic at Linkhorne Middle School on Saturday.

The event was free of charge and open to children as young as 10 years old. Lunch was also provided for the near 200 participants.

Jennings and Brown are two of Liberty's five former players that are currently on NFL rosters. During the NFL offseason, Jennings signed a free agent contract with the N.Y. Giants after he led the Oakland Raiders in rushing during the 2013 season. Brown is currently in his third season as a wide receiver with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Comments from Jennings' Facebook Page following Camp 180:
"Our 1st annual Youth Football CAMP 180 was a blast!! A special thank you to Lynchburg City Schools and Linkhorne Middle School for opening their doors allowing @therjfoundation to impact lives on and off the field. Also, I want to recognize our AMAZING staff of Coaches, Volunteers, Friends, Family and Parents who made all this possible!! Without everyone's time and hard work the camp would not have been the success that it was. Lastly a shout to our supporters from the @ABC13News @ymcacva @panerabread Super Dollar @JerseyMikes of Lynchburg Va for all their contributions. We could not have done it without you guys. Look forward to seeing everyone out again next year!"
