In the final ITA ranking of the 2013-14 season, the Liberty women's tennis team garnered its highest regional ranking in program history, coming in at No. 7 in the Atlantic Region.

"This ranking is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our players," commented Liberty head coach Jeff Maren.  "I am so proud of their efforts and believe that the ranking was well earned."

Liberty's No. 7 ranking places them ahead of regional powers William & Mary and Penn State. This marks the second year the Lady Flames have been regionally ranked, joining the 2011 squad which concluded the season ranked No. 10.

The ranking is a fitting end to one of the best seasons in program history. Liberty finished the season with a 15-9 overall record and a 7-2 mark in Big South competition. The Lady Flames' 15 overall wins ties the single-season program record, which was set in both the 2009 and 2011 seasons. The seven Big South victories set a new Liberty single-season record, breaking the old mark of six which was accomplished twice (2009, 2011). Liberty earned its first-ever ITA national ranking on March 4, coming in at No. 74.
