After leading the Flames to their fourth-straight NCAA Regional, Liberty's Mathieu Fenasse, Niklas Lindstrom and Chase Marinell have been named to the PING East All-Region team, presented by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

The trio of Liberty standout golfers were three of the 157 total players named to the six regional teams (Northeast, East, Southeast, Midwest, Central and West).

For Marinell, it is his second year on the PING All-Region East team, making him the second player in program history to earn all-region honors multiple times during a career (joining Robert Karlsson, who was named to the team in 2010, 2011 and 2012).

Fenasse and Lindstrom are making their first appearance on the all-region listing, making them the fourth and fifth players in program history to be named to the all-region team (Nathan Schenz-Davis – 2008; Karlsson – 2010, 2011 & 2012; Marinell – 2013).

Fenasse ranked third on Liberty's roster in 2013-14 with a 73.18 stroke average and played 11 of his 33 rounds of golf at par or better. The native of Lias, France, posted four top 10 finishes and is currently ranked No. 138 in the country by Golfstat.

Lindstrom saved his best senior for last at Liberty, as he led the team with a 72.81 stroke average and a team-best five top five finishes. The Kalmar, Sweden, native is currently ranked No. 56 in the country by Golfstat and he finished tied for third at last week's NCAA Eugene Regional.

Marinell, a native of Fort Myers, Fla., was second on Liberty's roster with a 72.97 stroke average during his final season with the Flames, which included 15 rounds at par or better and a team-best six top 10 finishes.

The 2014 Big South Men's Golfer of the Year currently ranks No. 154 in the country by Golfstat and finished his career with the second-best career stroke average in program history (73.04).

The threesome helped Liberty claim third Big South titles in four years. They earned NCAA Regional appearances each of the last four years, spotlighted by a NCAA Regional title in 2012 and a 10th place finish the same year at the NCAA Men's Golf National Championship at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

The trio continually helped the Flames remain inside the top 40 in the national rankings during their four-year careers, including earlier this season when Liberty finished the fall season ranked No. 24 in the country by Golfstat.
