2014 Women's Soccer Schedule

Fresh off a season in which it captured the program's fourth Big South championship, the Liberty women's soccer team hopes to add to its mantle in 2014. This year's schedule includes 10 home contests and quality non-conference meetings against the likes of Charlotte and George Mason.

"With tremendous anticipation, we set our sights on all that God has planned for us this year," head women's soccer coach Jessica Hain stated. "I have no doubt that the Lord is leading us and preparing us for such a time as now.  It will be exciting to represent Liberty University as members of the women's soccer program this fall!"

Liberty begins its quest for another championship season with an exhibition at Elon on Aug. 15. The 2014 slate officially gets underway when the Lady Flames head to Old Dominion on Aug. 22. Liberty's home opener takes place one week later on Aug. 29, as Hain's squad hosts UNC Greensboro.

Following an Aug. 31 road matchup at Appalachian State, Liberty will return to Osborne Stadium for a four-pack
of home contests versus Charlotte (Sept. 4), George Washington (Sept. 7), Davidson (Sept. 11) and George Mason (Sept. 16).

The Lady Flames start the conference portion of the season with road contests against Charleston Southern on Sept. 24 and Campbell on Sept. 27. Liberty kicks off the month of October with a three-game home stand versus UNC Asheville (Oct. 1), Presbyterian College (Oct. 4) and Radford (Oct. 8).

The team hits the road for two more games against High Point on Oct. 11 and Garner-Webb on Oct. 18. After a home contest with Winthrop on Oct. 22 and a meeting at Coastal Carolina two days later, the Lady Flames conclude the 2014 regular season at Osborne Stadium against Longwood on Oct. 28.

Liberty will begin its pursuit of a fifth Big South title, starting Nov. 2. The conference's top eight teams will square off at the home fields of the top four teams that day. The winners will then advance to the semifinals on Nov. 7, with the Big South Championship final on Nov. 9. The semifinals and finals will be played at Bryan Park Soccer Complex in Greensboro, N.C. The conference champion receives an automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament.
