Over the weekend, the Flames hosted the Blue Ridge Thunder Softball Tournament, featuring Georgetown and in-state opponent Hampton. During Liberty's 10-1 win over Georgetown, Jeffs was 3-for-5 with two runs scored, four RBI and two home runs.
Later in the day, Jeffs was 2-for-4 with a pair of solo home runs against Hampton, giving the senior her fourth-straight game with a round tripper.
Jeffs capped off the weekend by going 2-for-4 with a run scored and a double, helping Liberty to a 4-3 win over Hampton in the title game of the two-day event.
On the season, Jeffs leads the Lady Flames as she is batting .444 with 30 runs scored, nine doubles, 10 home runs and a .754 slugging percentage. Jeffs has successfully recorded at least one hit in 29 out of 35 games this year and the senior paces the Lady Flames with 22 multiple-hit games.
The award marks the fourth time this year a Lady Flame has been honored by the Big South Conference. Sarah Swor (Feb. 20) and Ashley Williams (March 26) have each been named Player of the Week and Terra Lowe (March 19) has been named Pitcher of the Week.
Jeffs and the Lady Flames return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Harrisonburg, Va., to take on James Madison in their final tune-up before opening conference action next weekend at Winthrop. First pitch of the doubleheader against the Dukes is scheduled for 2 p.m.
