Liberty Finishes 17th At Towson's Lacrosse Homes Collegiate

Clouds and cold weather did not deter St. John's from holding their lead in the first round and shooting a team-low 287 to win Towson's Lacrosse Homes Collegiate at the par-72, 6,761 yard Prospect Bay Country Club in Grasonville, Md.

Longwood finished second at 592 while Georgetown rounds out the top three at 594. Yale finished in fourth while Richmond and Columbia tied for fifth.

Keegan Bradley of St. John's came from two-strokes back and shot a 70 to win individual honors at two-under. Adam Webb, who shared the lead entering the round with Matt Busa of Georgetown, shot a 73 to finish tied for second at one-under par. Colby Moore of Yale, George Zolotas of St. John's and Joe Scheffres of James Madison tied for second with Webb at one-under par.

Liberty finished in 17th place out of 20 teams after shooting a 620 for the tournament. The Flames improved on their round one score of 316 by shooting a 304 in the second round.

The Flames were led by Andrew Nelson who shot par today to finish tied for 34th at eight-over. Stephen Hawk finished at 10-over par while Parker McKoy shot 11-over for the tournament. Jay Calvo and Josh Bain round out the Flame five by shooting
15-over and 23-over par respectively.

Liberty is back in action on April 16-18 at the Big South Championship. The three-day/54 hole event will take place in Birmingham, Ala.
