During last week's third annual FLAMESPY Award show, men's soccer senior defender Sam Duininck was provided the opportunity to reflect on his time at Liberty.

Duininck was selected to represent the more than 60 graduating senior student-athletes who will receive their degrees at Saturday's commencement ceremonies.

Duininck was a leader on Liberty's men's soccer program for the last four years, having started every game for the last three seasons. The Tulsa, Okla, native has been a three-time member of the Big South Presidential Honor Roll and is graduating with a 3.11 GPA in business marketing.

Last season, Duininck helped the Flames advance to the Big South Men's Soccer Championship and was named to the Big South first-team all-conference squad and VaSID second-team all-state listing.
