Jonita Randolph

As part of the Big South's 30th Anniversary celebration in 2013-14, the conference announced its first-ever All-Decade Tennis Teams today, recognizing the student-athletes and coaches who excelled in their respective sport since the Conference's founding in 1983.  A committee of Big South Conference administrators served as the official voting panel to determine the All-Decade Teams, with fan voting comprising 20 percent of the overall total.

Former Lady Flame, Jonita Randolph was the lone Liberty women's or men's tennis player to be honored by the conference. Randolph was named to the 2000s squad as both a singles and doubles performer.

A native of Townville, S.C., Randolph joined the Lady Flames in 2004 and graduated in 2007 as one of the most decorated players in program history.

As a freshman, Randolph was named the Big South Freshman of the Year and earned inclusion on the Big South All-Conference singles and doubles teams. Randolph garnered two more all-conference singles and doubles nods in 2006 and 2007.

Randolph concluded her career as a Lady Flame by being named the Big South Player of the Year as a senior in 2007.

Randolph currently ranks in the top 10 in Liberty's all-time career wins listing in both singles and doubles. She also ranks in the top 10 in program history in career winning percentage in singles and doubles matches. Her 21 singles wins in 2006 ranks sixth all-time in single-season program history, while her .864 singles winning percentage the following year is second in Liberty history.
