For the fourth year in a row, Liberty's men's golf team is the No. 1 seed heading into next week's Big South Men's Golf Championship, which will be contested at The Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C.

Liberty, who won the conference title in 2011 and 2012 and was the runner-up in 2013, is the No. 1 seed in the three-day, 54-hole event based upon the latest Golfstat team rankings.

Following a third-place showing at Ohio State's Robert Kepler Intercollegiate last weekend, Liberty is ranked No. 35 in this week's Golfstat rankings. The Flames have consistently been ranked inside the top 40 throughout the entire 2013-14 season and were ranked as high as No. 24 at the conclusion of the fall golf season.

Radford is ranked No. 84 in the nation by Golfstat and receives the No. 2 seed - its highest seeding in the conference championship since 2008 and just ahead of No. 3 seed Winthrop, which is ranked No. 87 in the country.

Defending champion Coastal Carolina is the No. 4 seed with its ranking of 88, while Charleston Southern earns the No. 5 seed with its national ranking of No. 109. Presbyterian College is No. 134 nationally and will be the No. 6 seed in the championship, with Campbell (151) receiving the No. 7 seed.

Gardner-Webb is the No. 8 seed based on its ranking of 165, ahead of Longwood (199).  High Point rounds out the championship field as the No. 10 seed (236).

The Patriot Golf Club is hosting the Big South Men's Golf Championship for the ninth time in 10 years, as the course has hosted the event every year since 2008 in addition to 2005 and 2006.

The 2014 Big South Men's Golf Championship begins this weekend with a practice round on Sunday. The three-day, 54-hole event will be played April 21-23 and is free and open to the public. In addition, fans can follow the action online via Golfstat's "Live Scoring" feature.
