From the press box at Winthrop's Irwin Belk Track, LibertyFlames.com will provide live blog coverage of all three days of the 2014 Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

The Liberty men's team will be aiming for its eighth consecutive team title, while the Lady Flames will try to defend its championship from 2013.

I'll be with you for about seven hours today, beginning around 1:30 p.m. to preview the heptathlon and men's hammer.

By around 8:30 p.m. this evening, Big South champions will be crowned in six different events, including the men's 10K, long jump and hammer and the women's 10K, long jump and hammer. Today's action will also feature the first five decathlon events and the first four heptathlon disciplines.

I will be using the interactive CoveritLive blog interface, which will allow all readers to submit comments and questions throughout the day, as you follow your favorite Flames and Lady Flames' progress.

Without further ado, go Liberty!
