LibertyFlames.com continues its coverage of spring practice today with LFSN reporter Alan York visiting with Flames' defensive lineman Chima Uzowihe.

Uzowihe is the senior member of Liberty's starting defensive line following the graduation of starting defensive end Cory Freeman, starting defensive tackle Francis Bah and starting nose guard Jibrille Fewell from last year's squad.

Uzowihe started all 12 games in 2013 at right end, leading all defensive linemen and finishing eighth on the team with a career-best 43 tackles (20 solo, 23 assisted). The rising junior earned All-Big South first-team honors after he led the team and was second in the Big South with 7.0 sacks. He also ranked second on the team and No. 5 in the Big South in tackles for a loss (9.0).

Uzowihe and the Flames will hold their annual Spring Football Game on Saturday at Williams Stadium. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Gates open at 2 p.m. and the intra-squad scrimmage will be followed by a player autograph session.
