LibertyFlames.com continues its coverage of spring practice today with LFSN reporter Alan York visiting with Flames' senior safety Jacob Hagen.

Hagen had a breakout year in 2013, finishing the season ranked third on the team with a career-best 61 tackles (34 solo, 27 assisted). Hagen also led the Big South with six interceptions and ranked No. 9 in the country in interceptions per game (0.5).

Hagen earned all-Big South first-team honors for his career season, while being selected to the Associated Press FCS All-America third team.

Hagen will be Liberty's most experienced defensive back in 2014, following the graduation of starting cornerbacks Walt Aikens and Kevin Fogg and fellow safety Aaron Dial.

On the practice field, Liberty will hold a closed scrimmage tomorrow afternoon at Williams Stadium in preparation for its annual Spring Football Game on April 12 (2 p.m.).

LibertyFlames.com will continue its coverage of football spring practice tomorrow when York visits with offensive coordinator Aaron Stamn.
